There are specific ways to travel or there are specific things to see
On the bus, these are people I like best:
1. Those obviously in the middle of taking some sort of hugely important call related to family and/or loss, but who, insanely considerate EVEN IN TIMES OF ADVERSITY, talk quietly, calmly, aware of affecting others, at a phonic level far below the expected normal when first presented with the news that little Peaches took the dog out for a walk and lost the dog and is now face-down on the floor in tears.
2. Those obviously in the middle of taking some sort of call related to a specific but relatively unimportant event; who talk with real force, completely unaware of others, their free hand waving above and around and above them again; who stand up, realise their stop is not for at least another ten minutes, sit back down again and shout WITH GUSTO: ‘I totally thought that was my stop but fuck it who cares.’
